Other student services

The University has many student services that support the health, wellbeing and support students with their studies.

  • The Accommodation Service can advise on specific availability and discuss requirements for accommodation with students.
  • The Residence Life Team supports students living in university accommodation. They promote wellbeing, build community, and help our residents thrive.
  • The Careers Service provides careers guidance for students through workshops, career fairs, CV writing advice etc.
  • The Centre of Sports and Exercise offers sports, exercise and gym membership to students and staff at the University.
  • The Chaplaincy offers confidential, non-judgemental and non-denominational support for students and staff.
  • Childcare is available to students by Arcadia Nurseries at the King’s Buildings and Easter Bush campuses.
  • The Student Counselling Service offer a confidential counselling service to all students studying at the University.
  • Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA) is run by students, for students and is here to help students get the most out of their time at university.
  • The Exceptional Circumstances Service Team helps students who need additional support with their assessments outside of, or in addition to, the support they receive from DLSS.
  • The University Health Centre is an independent NHS partnership and offers GP services to patients to live within the practice area who register with them.
  • The Institute for Academic Development helps students to succeed in their studies. They offer workshops, courses to improve students’ study skills.
  • Student Wellbeing Service works collaboratively with others across the University ti provide proactive and reactive wellbeing support for University of Edinburgh Students.
  • The Advice Place is run by EUSA for students at University of Edinburgh, and offers non-judgemental, confidential and impartial advicen on a wide range of topics.
