Specific Learning Differences Transition Event

The Service will host an online transition event in August 2025 for prospective students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD).

The Service will host an online event for prospective students with Specific Learning Differences, e.g. ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia (DCD), dyscalculia, developmental language disorder or co-occurring neurodiverse conditions.

If you are intending to study at the University and have an SpLD, formally diagnosed or not, you are welcome to join us for this online transition event.

We understand that the transition to University can be difficult, so our transition event hopes to address any questions or concerns that you may have.

The event will be online on Monday 18 August 2025 at 2pm.  Parents, guardians and carers can also attend.

The session will include:

  • An introduction to our Service (The Disability and Learning Support Service).
  • Information about what support is available for students with SpLDs.
  • Information about other University support services.
  • Tips to help you in your first few weeks at university.
  • Opportunities to ask questions.

If you are interested in attending, contact us.

If you are unable to attend on the 18 August, but you have questions for us, you can contact us.
