Examination adjustment deadlines

Deadline dates for exam support to be put in place.

December 2026 Exam Diet Deadline 

Students must register with DLSS and have all exam support agreed and documented on their Schedule of Adjustments by Friday, 9 October 2026.

1. If you had support in place for previous exam diets for your current course of study 

You do not need to reapply for exams support each exam diet. Only if you want to discuss different or more exam support, you should request an appointment to discuss this with a Disability Advisor. 

2. If you received support at school 

This will not automatically be in place for your new studies, even if you mentioned it on your UCAS application.  You MUST register with our Service to arrange for support to be put in place.

3. If you received support during previous studies at University (here or another University) 

This will not automatically be in place for your new studies, even if you mentioned it on your UCAS application.  You MUST register with our Service to arrange for support to be put in place.

4. If you are a visiting/exchange student and receive exam support at your home University

This will not automatically be in place for your studies at the University of Edinburgh, even if you mentioned it on your application. You MUST register with our Service to arrange for support to be put in place.


  1. Log into MyEd
  2. Select My Student Record under the Accounts dropdown menu.
  3. On the left-hand menu of your student record page choose Disability Support.

This page will show your Schedule of Adjustments if you have one.
