Transition event for new students with an Autism Spectrum Condition

The Service will host an online transition event in August 2025 for prospective students with an Autism Spectrum Condition.

If you are intending to study at the University and you have a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Condition, we are offering an online transition event to prospective students this summer.

We understand that the transition to University can be difficult, so our AS Transition Event hopes to address any questions or concerns that you may have.

The event will online and held on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 and is also open to parents/carers of new students to attend.

We will talk about a variety of subjects:

  • An introduction to our service - Disability and Learning Support Service
  • What you need to know as a new student
  • Gaining an insight into University life
  • Finding out more about the support services at the University
  • Talks from a variety of staff, students and representatives from within the University
  • ‘Ask Me Anything’ sessions with AS staff and students
  • Gaining study skill tips
  • Hear from students about their experience and the impacts of an AS diagnosis
  • Joining Societies, meeting other new students and making friends

If you are interested in attending please contact us.
